this is it. jackpot. i loved this. just kids being kids. that was it. and wow- this is what i LOVE about what i get to do. right here. playing with chalk... bubbles...looking at our feet and telling me about how big brother has just learned how to spit. (you know, all the things us as moms are thrilled our kids share! ha!) we got to watch jugglers in the park, dog training classes... couldn't ask for much more fun! what a blast!
as i continue to photograph little people, big people, all kinds of people and things, seems like i just keep learning more and more... as we are moving into the busier season of fall and looking ahead to 2009- i look back on how much i have learned and how i have emerged and grown...knowing where i would like to go.
this candid, more photo journalistic style is it for me. not so posey, not so formal, having fun, living life- just people doing what they do... and what i have learned. it's hard. not for kids... kids can do their own thing with ease in front of a camera...(99% of the time)- ha! it's us. the big people. we want to know where to put our hands, where to look, where to sit, where to stand...how to hold our babies...when will that camera click...candid is tough for lots of us, as adults.
i've learned though. candid and just being with your family, your spouse, your mom, your significant other... just sitting, talking, laughing... pretending i (the photographer) am not there...doing what you do- those are the very best pictures... because they are you. being you.
that is what i love. that is my goal to continue to strive to deliver to you.
