to the lake...

we had a gorgeous day for pictures... and headed out to lake quiveria. wow. what a beautiful area. as a photographer, seems like our challenges can be from the weather to looking for the best light...but always allowing kids to be kids, not directing them to take away from the spirit we are trying to capture. so sometimes the best smile ends up in the brightest full sun (which we don't love)- but it's the smile you wanted, so the sun will do. on monday we had a little wind blowing all of us around, that was our uncontrollable element and we still got oodles of great shots. we circled the lake and stopped and snapped away. these 2 adorable blondies got to explore all kinds of new things... water, horses, the docks, sailboats and lots of sticks. with a constant smile on her face, this little 2 year old just took it all in. her older sister definitely loved all the flowers we found. this shoot was so laid back, just like this great family, and the pictures seem to speak for themselves. i am anxious to proof the rest...
